How to use the classroom dice
Click the dice to roll a random number from 1 to 6. Use it anywhere you’d use a physical dice in your classroom — without the noise, the hunting under desks, or the arguments about whether it was a fair roll. Works on any device projected on your classroom screen.
Classroom activities using dice
Board games: Use the dice to move pieces on any printed or digital board game. Roll for your whole class on the projector so everyone can see.
Speaking activities: Assign a speaking task to each number. Roll the dice and the student must complete that task — describe a picture, answer a question, tell a story.
Grammar drilling: Write six sentence prompts on the board, numbered 1–6. Students roll and must form a correct sentence using prompt number X.
Team games: Use the dice to determine how many points a correct answer is worth — adds an element of chance that keeps even stronger students on their toes.
Random student picker: Number your students 1–6 (or use groups) and roll to choose who answers next. Fairer than calling on the same hands repeatedly.
Pronunciation practice: Write a target word or sound on the board. Roll the dice — the number tells students how many times to repeat it, in a sentence, or with a partner.
Works for all levels and ages
The classroom dice works equally well for A1 young learners playing simple vocabulary board games and C1 adults doing complex speaking activities. The randomness element keeps activities lively and removes the predictability that makes drilling feel repetitive.
